Titanium dioxide is a naturally occurring oxide. It is widely used in cosmetics as a soap whitener as well as an addition to sunscreens.

This natural pigment is both oil and water soluble.

For Cold Process soap, add to your base oils and mix well prior to adding the lye water solution.

Can also be used in mineral makeup.

Non Bleeding.

To use titanium dioxide in cold process soap, we recommend dispersing it in a lightweight liquid oil or water at a rate of 1 tsp. colorant to 1 Tbsp. oil/ water. Because titanium dioxide is a fairly large pigment, use a mini mixer to help work out any clumps. Because our titanium dioxide is both water and oil soluble, you can also disperse it in distilled water

Start out at 1/16th to 1/8th teaspoon per 500g for melt & pour soaps. For cold process, add 1 teaspoon of oxide per 1kg of soap base.

It is also used to turn your fondant icing, modelling paste, flower paste, white chocolate, etc to a brilliant shade of white.

Titanium dioxide is a whitening agent in powder form that is tasteless.

Chocolate & Ganache: 1 Tablespoon per 600grams of chocolate or ganache. – You can add an additional teaspoon if need be. You can add it directly to chocolate without seizing.

Buttercream: 1 Tablespoon Titanium Dioxide – mix with 1 tablespoon of water to form a paste. This is for 2kg buttercream.
